Abby's birthday bash

Abigail is 4!
My little girl is 4....
Ahhhhh
I tried to get her to skip it but she wouldn't have it!
Seems like yesterday she was just a little bittie baby.
I feel very lucky that she is still needing many loves and cuddles.
She wanted to bounce for her birthday. So we rented one of Bouncin off the Walls rooms. It was so fun. Even most of the adults bounced too.
Most of my pictures did not turn out so I am sorry if you don't see your smiling face in any of these.

She had so much fun. When we got home she asked if she could have another birthday in the morning.
So thankful for everyone that could come and celebrate her special day.

ramblings

My baby girl will be four in a dew days and I am a mess!

I am sitting here, it's late. I am overcome by emotions. I feel blessed, overjoyed... I have realized how very fast time is slipping away. I am so thankful that she has come into our life. I look at her and I can't imagine a life without her. I am in awe of her. She is so smart, full of fire (like her mom) strong willed, stubborn (like her daddy), curious about life, and she has an amazing sense of humor for a 3 year old.

I also have emotions of fear. Uncertain in the future. If only we all new what was ahead. I lay awake a lot lately with thought's I can not control. It is unnerving and exhausting.

I would give anything to have a guarantee I will get to be here to support her in all aspects of her life, be here to comfort her when she needs it, hold her hand when she is scared, and to see her become a mother.

Deep thoughts for my 3 year old, I know. BUT it is what keeps me up at night.

Teddy Bear

Last weekend we went to the Sportsman's expo. There was a crazy amount of people there and enough trips and outdoor gear that we will dream about for a long time.
The funnest part for Abigail was watching the Dockdogs National contest. The dogs jump from a ramp to catch a ball or toy from the pool. They measure how far they jump and holding a baby bear from Bear World.

Brings me back to 2009 when she was about 6 months old

And yes we want one....

Fun times

Last October Don, Abigail, and I braved going camping in a tent. We have not tented it since 1998. We both love camping and go every chance we get but we have been spoiled having a trailer with a toilet, running water, power, television, and nice comfy beds. We have decided that Abigail needs to learn what "roughing it" means.

Fun times....
 * We don't have lots of things to camp with without a trailer anymore
 * I packed some plastic tubs with our food and other items in them, I could never find anything I needed.
* Our tent took forever to set up and it was frustrating since Lori sat up their tent and bedding in        about10 minutes...we took at least 30 minutes. Plus our tent has no top but net.
 * It stormed around dinner time, my hot dog bun was soggy.
 * Abigail had not had to until this night go poop in the woods....It took her at least 4 hours to finally go. We had to walk to our bathroom spot every 5 minutes during those 4 hours.
* We were to go fishing in the morning with Lori, Steve, and Cole but Don was to sick so we packed up and went home. ( I was feeling a little sick also)
* Don got sick...IN THE TENT... It was great! Nothing like waking up to throw up all over.
I have to say I love having a trailer but I did enjoy tenting it.

We will definitely rough it again. But next time we will be better prepared and maybe have a bit more non trailer items.

Here are some fun pictures.
