Thanksgiving

A time a year most of us start to remember what we are thankful for. I know what I am thankful all year and I hope I show it. Thanksgiving has not been an enjoyable day since 2009. My dad wasn't able to come that day and he dies shortly after. So Thanksgiving to me now if full of good memories from past but the memories of his last one is what gets to me and ruins my mood.

Don and I cooked the full meal. WE LOVE TO COOK IT!!
No complaints here!

We made the usual:
Turkey with stuffing
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Yams
Green bean casserole
Red Cabbage
Cranberry sauce (freshly made by Abigail)
Rolls
and of course...
Pies

I have really been a slacker for the past two years and have bought our pies. I love baking pies and promise next year I will get back into baking them.

I wished I would have taken a few pictures... But i didn't. I just cherished the day with loved ones and enjoyed no looking into a camera all the time.

I try to be Thankful ALL year. What I have and what I do not have. There is always something to be thankful for no matter the situation we are in.
We all enjoyed a great early dinner and played a few games. We had our annual leftover dinner on Saturday since S=Don and I went to Wendover Friday night.

This year I had posted this on my FB wall a few days before

Had my 6 month check up today and will have my 6 month scan day before Thanksgiving. Usually November is the month everyone post what they are thankful for... I have tried to do it also but never end up sticking to it. I'm just thankful that each morning I wake up, I am loved, and that I love with all my heart and soul. That I have been blessed to have my soulmate with me every step of the way since 96' standing by my side through it all. I was given the chance after what seemed like a lifetime to be able to bring the best of both of us into the world "Miss Abigail"! As I sat at the liver and kidney transplant center today and took in my surroundings I am just so thankful for my life. For the good and the not so good at times. I am thankful for these two who keep me going and make every little second count!

Wendover

At the last minute we decided to head to Wendover for the night with our friends Ken and Sandy. We had a great time, I came home with more money then I took out to loose. We had a fun time and probably got a little to wild!

Abigail had the greatest time spending the night with her Aunt and Uncle and all her cousins!
Thank you Laura and Sven for watching her!

Park City fun

We had a quick weekend getaway to Park city to enjoy some quiet, friends, and soaking in the hot tub. We had a lot of fun and the kids wished they could all just live together.

They played ping pong, got in the hot tub, played video games, watched movies, basketball, and they played pool.

Hot Air Balloon Launch

Billy Blanco's

AWESOME place for lunch or dinner! (Right off the Jeremy Ranch exit) LOVED their lettuce wrap tacos. If you are ever up that way go check them out. Many great bikes and cars, awesome decor, and great service!

Girls teaming up to get Taylor

Abigail were in heaven being able to sleep in the same room. Once day we will find them glued together... Literally!

WinterJam 2016

We had such a fun night at the 2016 Winter Jam! We got to see Mathew West, MY FAV,  Crowder Band, Brit Nicole, New-song, Steven Malcolm, Sara Reeves,  OBB,
Red, Mandissa, KB, and Teddashi,
Many of our favorites! Abby and her friend danced ALL NIGHT LONG! About 15 minute left Abby pretty much crashed out so we left to get home and get in bed. She LOVES going to the Christian Rock concerts. It was 10 Bands for $10 started at 6:30 and ended around midnight. Was awesome!

Meet the Author

We got to meet Brandon Mull

Got a first edition in hardcover for free from a very nice
man who was there to get books signed.
He said he just happened to have 1 extra. and then bought the rest on paperback.
He was nice enough to sign each book! Abby is on book 1, Don is finished, and I am on book 5. We have all enjoyed this series and are now going to start the Beyonders series.  Don and I did our's on audio books but I will read these again with Abigail.

I absolutely LOVE that she can get lost in a book like I did at her age. There is nothing better then reading.

WooHooo
We are excited!

Sequel series to Fablehaven • Coming March 14, 2017

Kendra and Seth are back in a whole new adventure. An uprising of dragons threatens to destroy the magical preserves as well as overrun the nonmagical world. In ancient times, Dragonwatch—a group of wizards, enchantresses, dragon slayers, and others—confined the majority of dragons to sanctuaries. That effort is now crumbling. Dragonwatch must be reunited. The dragons must be stopped.
