A time a year most of us start to remember what we are thankful for. I know what I am thankful all year and I hope I show it. Thanksgiving has not been an enjoyable day since 2009. My dad wasn't able to come that day and he dies shortly after. So Thanksgiving to me now if full of good memories from past but the memories of his last one is what gets to me and ruins my mood.
Don and I cooked the full meal. WE LOVE TO COOK IT!!
No complaints here!
We made the usual:
Turkey with stuffing
Mashed potatoes & gravy
Yams
Green bean casserole
Red Cabbage
Cranberry sauce (freshly made by Abigail)
Rolls
and of course...
Pies
I have really been a slacker for the past two years and have bought our pies. I love baking pies and promise next year I will get back into baking them.
I wished I would have taken a few pictures... But i didn't. I just cherished the day with loved ones and enjoyed no looking into a camera all the time.
I try to be Thankful ALL year. What I have and what I do not have. There is always something to be thankful for no matter the situation we are in.
We all enjoyed a great early dinner and played a few games. We had our annual leftover dinner on Saturday since S=Don and I went to Wendover Friday night.
This year I had posted this on my FB wall a few days before
Had my 6 month check up today and will have my 6 month scan day before Thanksgiving. Usually November is the month everyone post what they are thankful for... I have tried to do it also but never end up sticking to it. I'm just thankful that each morning I wake up, I am loved, and that I love with all my heart and soul. That I have been blessed to have my soulmate with me every step of the way since 96' standing by my side through it all. I was given the chance after what seemed like a lifetime to be able to bring the best of both of us into the world "Miss Abigail"! As I sat at the liver and kidney transplant center today and took in my surroundings I am just so thankful for my life. For the good and the not so good at times. I am thankful for these two who keep me going and make every little second count!
