Thanksgiving

This November came and went way to quick.
We had many talks about being thankful for things in our life.
I asked Abby each night what she was thankful for.

Here is a few:

Mom and Dad
Family
God
Friends
Sharing
Giving
Ruger
and she was thankful for Heaven because her papa and her kitty Morris were there waiting for her with God.

Just a few things I am thankful for:

I am thankful for my husband. He is my best friend, he is irresistible, , he is honest, a great provider, and always is by my side. Love you!

I am thankful for my daughter. She is the best gift I have ever received! She teaches me so, so much! It is such a joy to be her mommy. She is all I have ever wanted, my dream come true!

I am thankful for my Dad. I'm thankful I inherited his sarcasm, stubbornness, and green eyes. Even though he passed away almost 3 years ago I know he is standing by my side each day.

I am thankful for my Mom. She has a great sense of humor, she is always ready an willing to come take care of me when needed (even though I'm an adult), she is a wonderful grandmother to my daughter and is always ready to be Abigail's partner in crime!

I am thankful for all my siblings including my Smith ones. They have all been here for me whenever it has been needed. I love spending time with them. I love it that they are so willing to let me serve them my new cooking recipes.  I am thankful for Ben. When asked on such short notice he came down and gave me a blessing before I had my hysterectomy. I was so scared and it was what I needed to feel like I wouldn't be alone through it all. I am especially thankful for being able to spend more time with Melanie and to be able to build a closer relationship with her. I love you all!

I am thankful for my Mom and Dad Smith. They have stood by us, helped us in so many ways, and the love they give is like no other.

I am thankful for my job. It is not often that we get to enjoy and truly love what we do and where we work.

I am thankful that my health has continued to maintain. Despite needing a few surgeries and have a few setbacks with my liver disease I am here. It could be much worse.

Abigail and I baked a few pies for Thanksgiving. We made our first cheesecake and then a strawberry rhubarb. They were both very delicious! We had a smaller crowd this year and it turned out great. We got to spend our first Thanksgiving with Mom and Dad Smith, Aunt Melanie, and Lotus. Then of course my family was here.

The pies...

We got to go for a nice long walk down the Jordan Parkway after we got the turkey in the oven and stuff ready to go. We had a really nice day spending it together and with our family.
